On the tube: Cobblestone Homes used as the backdrop for Designing Spaces TV segment on Green Spaces highlighting Dow products

Midland's Dow knew exactly where to go when a "think green" television show came calling to film a DIY piece on reducing energy use.

Designing Spaces logoWanting to showcase insulation products, Dow Building Solutions headed straight for the basement ... of a Cobblestone Home. That's because homes built by the mid-Michigan company are certified by the state as Green Built, which really means environmentally friendly and energy-efficient.

You won't see much of the trademark Cobblestone healthy and beautiful interior spaces on this show, but as we all know, the real beauty of one of these homes is viewed in the power to save valuable energy and leave a smaller carbon footprint on the environment.

Thus, you'll see Ted Brunson, host of "Designing Spaces;" John Hammer of Dow; and Jen, an actress posing as the homeowner; as they add insulation to the basement of an existing Cobblestone Home in Auburn, Michigan. As Brunson is coming in from the cold and moving to the basement for the insulation demo, he calls the home "beautifully finished."

We'd have to agree.

"Designing Spaces" is on nationally televised TLC and WE networks, but you can see view this segment immediately here.
