Cobblestone to appear at three area home builder shows |
|
Looks like it's time to wake up and smell the paint, feel the lumber and think green.
There still may be snow on the ground and flakes in the air, but Cobblestone Homes of mid-Michigan would like for you to shake off winter and move on to spring as they bring news and info on new ways to build a home. The environmentally friendly builders are participating in three area home shows over the next few weeks, and they want you to come and see the newest ideas being offered in "green" construction. In addition to staff who know their stuff, Cobblestone will have flat-screen TVs to showcase newly built, healthy and affordable homes and innovations in the sustainability arena.
Who knows? You may want to start digging a basement for that new home soon.
Here's where you can catch Cobblestone and visit one of their booths:

On the tube: Cobblestone Homes used as the backdrop for Designing Spaces TV segment on Green Spaces highlighting Dow products |
|
Midland's Dow knew exactly where to go when a "think green" television show came calling to film a DIY piece on reducing energy use.
Wanting to showcase insulation products, Dow Building Solutions headed straight for the basement ... of a Cobblestone Home. That's because homes built by the mid-Michigan company are certified by the state as Green Built, which really means environmentally friendly and energy-efficient.
You won't see much of the trademark Cobblestone healthy and beautiful interior spaces on this show, but as we all know, the real beauty of one of these homes is viewed in the power to save valuable energy and leave a smaller carbon footprint on the environment.
Thus, you'll see Ted Brunson, host of "Designing Spaces;" John Hammer of Dow; and Jen, an actress posing as the homeowner; as they add insulation to the basement of an existing Cobblestone Home in Auburn, Michigan. As Brunson is coming in from the cold and moving to the basement for the insulation demo, he calls the home "beautifully finished."
We'd have to agree.
"Designing Spaces" is on nationally televised TLC and WE networks, but you can see view this segment immediately here.
Here are some photos from behind the scenes:

Tri-city builders Cobblestone Homes thanks Parade of Home visitors |
|
We're hoping the hustle and bustle of the holidays did not cause memories of Cobblestone's three entries in the late fall Parade of Homes to fade.
We're also hoping that you found many things to like about our Green Built Michigan certified homes and that you will talk to friends, family and neighbors about what impressed you, whether it be cutting-edge moisture control or air vents and filtration systems. Those are pretty hot topics in today's building world, where Cobblestone is making "environmentally friendly" a signature.
But mostly, we want to thank parade visitors for taking the time to check out our homes, and we certainly hope it was a valuable use of your time.
Get ready, though, the Spring Parade in coming soon, and we've got some great innovations to show you.

It's Parade of Homes Time |
|
One of our favorite times of the year is when we get to show potential home buyers just what makes a Cobblestone Home so special.
This year we are featuring three homes: the first one is a beautiful, two story home located in Saginaw, the next one is a ranch located in Bay City and the last is a one and a half story home in Freeland.
All three of the homes are Green Built Michigan certified; the homes have been verified as having been built using the National Home Builders Association’s Green Building Standards and Guidelines.
The home show runs October 3rd and 4th, October 7th and October 10th and 11th.
Download our brochure for more details and come and explore what it is like owning the very best.
